Legacy The Stage Play

Legacy The Stage Play

“Legacy, The Stage Play” from the inspiration and historical documentary series Hidden Colors by Tariq Nasheed,
author, documentary film producer, media personality. The premiere performance is scheduled for Thursday, November 17, 2016 on the Main Stage at Eau Claire High School in Columbia.

Halley’s Legacy, The Stage Play highlights the beautiful hidden legacy of black people. It is intended to teach and connect with the youth, young adults, and families through poetry, history,
group economics, psychology, religion, ancient symbols, yoga, hip hop, motivation, and love. The stage play also pays tribute to music artisans Tupac, Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill and
Janelle Monae Wondaland.

“What caused me to write Legacy is my frustration and the social problems stemming from the African American community and what holds our children back from having prosperous futures” said Director Malaysia Halley. “What I hope to impact our community is to increase awareness to stop black on black violence, build group economics, bring awareness to natural healing and positive self-identification in youth.”
